I needed an exterior shade for my big, west-facing windows because my swamp cooler hadn’t cooled my house enough when the temperature went over 100 degrees this past summer. I contacted three companies with good reviews to give me estimates on getting an exterior shade to filter out 99% of the heat and ultraviolet light in preparation for the summer of 2027. Out of the three companies that gave me estimates, Bumble Bee Blinds was the only company that: 1) Brought samples to choose from; and 2) Was willing to email the legal contract to me in advance, so I had time to read it over to make sure my interests were protected.  I’m happy to report that it was a wise decision to choose Bumble Bee Blinds.  I found the owners of this company—Jordan and Michelle Mulford—to be honest and pleasant people to do business with. The people that Jordan chose to install the shade did an outstanding job.  The shade is powered by a solar panel, which I can easily operate with a remote control.  The shade looks much better that I had previously imagined, for covers my windows completely and almost perfectly matches the color of my exterior wall. We used Bumble Bee to replace shutters with blinds on multiple windows in a high-traffic area of our home. Jordan and team were wonderful every step of the way. They took the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish, explained our options with clear facts and figures, and made sure we were satisfied with the end result. Jordan helped us pick the right blinds, and they look great. The install went smoothly, and Jordan was on site throughout to make sure everything went well. We had to replace some custom shutters and finding someone who could do this work as if they had been here forever wasn’t so easy. But Bumble Bee was totally fit for this purpose!
