Our Southlake Team

Matt Wilson owns and operates the Bumble Bee Blinds of Southlake-Fort Worth (and surrounding townships) as General Manager. While his family roots are from the South Side of Chicago, he has a diverse background – starting his career as an Officer in the Army with four combat deployments and most recently heading multiple customer experience departments here in Dallas-Fort Worth.

After buying a newly built home without window treatments, Matt got frustrated with his experience from multiple window treatment companies. That experience, combined with the new priorities that come with parenthood, led Matt to his opportunity to grow the Bumble Bee Blinds brand in his local community. He found his passion for helping people transform their homes whether it be a first home purchase, a condo in downtown Fort Worth, or their forever home in need of a refresh.

When he is not working, Matt is hanging out with his family – they enjoy going to the Fort Worth Zoo, visiting the long horns in the Stockyards, and attending outdoor events in the surrounding towns.

Megan Wilson is a co-owner of Bumble Bee Blinds of Southlake-Fort Worth (and surrounding townships). She hails from Adelaide, Australia where her entire family still resides. After she met Matt between military deployments during a vacation in the United States, she made a leap of faith. Two daughters and one dog later, the Wilson family has become a permanent staple here in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Megan is the “brains” of the local brand administratively supporting this veteran owned small business.

When she is not working, Megan is hanging out with his family – they enjoy going to the Fort Worth Zoo, visiting the long horns in the Stockyards, and attending outdoor events in the surrounding towns.
