Alison brings a wealth of experience to Bumble Bee Blinds.  Her career success in building, construction, interior design and exceptional talent for styling uniques spaces makes Mrs.McMurtrey a valuable team member.  Alison is able to walk into a clients business or residence and bring their dreams to life.  This is a unique and very rare talent.

Not even brutally hot summer weather could prevent Robert from falling in love with the Houston area. Even though he loves the community, it took some time for this world traveler to get nestled here. When he first moved to Houston, Robert spent a lot of his time traveling overseas, before Covid forced him to slow down his pace.

Even though his travel schedule was impacted, it gave him the opportunity to get more involved in the community with the help of his wife and kids. He loves the Southern hospitality, friendly neighbors, and the fact that Houston is a real melting pot – just like his previous homes, including Dubai and Washington DC.

One of the highlights of Robert’s career was managing the proposal effort, building the team, and supervising the project of relocating the largest US Embassy in the world from the former Presidential Palace in Baghdad to the $700-million New Embassy Compound (NEC) to the Tigris during some of Baghdad’s most violent days. This large-scale relocation project was applauded by US Ambassador Ryan Crocker, as it was completed without any delays.

One of his recent professional achievements was being the General Manager of International SOS and leading the team in hiring and vetting over 1700 medical professionals to stand-up field hospitals overnight to treat newly arriving Afghans in the United States after the fall of Kabul. Overall, 88,000 Afghans were treated during Operation Allies Welcome, many of whom arrived in need of urgent care. The planning and execution surrounding this immense operation were extremely challenging.

What his colleagues and clients appreciate the most about Robert is his resiliency and flexibility to ensure the successful outcome of every project he takes on. His fruitful career in International Logistics and Strategic Transport Management allowed him to work and travel in over 80 countries, including some incredibly austere environments around the world.

Every single location he visited and project he worked on allowed him to expand his knowledge base and made him even more passionate about his work. However, it is the people he meets along the way that leave the greatest impression on him.

On his days off, Robert enjoys volunteering, coaching kids’ activities, traveling, spending weekends away with his family, and fostering animals. He also loves staying active, and his hobbies include jogging, hiking, and skiing.

Jonathan Lemus, a Houston native with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, has built a diverse 15-year career in sales. His experience includes working with Fortune 500 companies like Kohler, as well as roles in the banking and aesthetics industries. Over the past five years, he has specialized in the home industry, combining his passion for helping people with his love for home improvement. Jonathan now proudly serves as General Manager of Bumble Bee Blinds.

Greta grew up and attended college in Budapest, Hungary.  Her focus is on exterior shades and interior European Design.  Ms. Baccifava has traveled extensively and combines a unique Middle Eastern flare with her European specialty design talents.  Greta has recently been in Dubai scouting out new fabrics on the Emirati market that we bring to households in Southeast Texas.  In her free time, Greta operates a Swim School, fosters animals from the Houston Humane Society and loves to spend time skiing and with her 2 kids.  

As Head of Marketing at Bumble Bee Blinds, my focus has been on leveraging my social media acumen to elevate  business & drive sales with targeted marketing campaigns. My strategic approach has consistently enhanced brand visibility and fostered robust business relationships across all of Southeast Texas.
