Privacy Plantation Shutters

Plantation-style patio shutters are a popular choice for Minnetonka homes thanks to their timeless look. Our patio shutters allow you to tilt or open panels to manage sunlight and visibility throughout the day.

If privacy is a top priority, privacy plantation shutters are an excellent solution. They create a comfortable, secluded environment while still allowing airflow and natural light when desired. Ideal for patios near neighbors or busy streets, these shutters help you enjoy your outdoor space with confidence. We offer a free design consultation to ensure your patio shutters meet your privacy, style, and performance needs.

Types of Patio Shutters We Offer

We carry multiple materials and styles to suit all types of homes in Minnetonka and the surrounding areas, including:

  • Wood shutters: Wood patio shutters offer natural beauty and a timeless appeal. They can also be stained or painted to complement your home.
  • Composite shutters: These are a versatile, durable option that resists warping and fading. Composite shutters provide the look of wood with added strength and stability.
  • Polyresin shutters: Polyresin is moisture-resistant and low maintenance, making these shutters ideal for the changing weather conditions common in Minnetonka.

Our experts will help you choose the right material based on your patio’s exposure, desired maintenance level, and design preferences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are patio shutters weather-resistant enough for year-round use?

Yes. Our patio shutters are designed with durable materials like composite and polyresin that hold up well to temperature changes, moisture, and sun exposure, making them suitable for year-round use in Minnetonka.

How do patio shutters compare to outdoor shades or screens?

Patio shutters provide more structure, privacy, and insulation than shades or screens. While shades offer flexible sun control, shutters add a permanent, architectural element and enhanced protection.

Can patio shutters be color-matched to my home’s exterior or trim?

Many of our patio shutters can be color-matched or finished to coordinate with your home’s exterior, trim, or existing design elements for a seamless look.

I had the most fantastic experience with Bumble Bee Blinds in Minnetonka! I had big heavy drapes on my front windows. I was going to go with room darkening blinds but Danny made a great suggestion to go with light filtering and I'm so glad I did! I was concerned the light filtering wouldn't keep the room dark enough to keep the heat out and glare for the TV. But they do. The entire process was efficient! The install followed shortly after the blinds were ready. Danny followed up to make sure I was completely satisfied with every facet of the job. 100% recommend Bumble Bee Blinds for all your blind needs!
